Definition of Wellbeing

Wellbeing is a multi-faceted concept encompassing a person's physical, mental, emotional, spiritual and social health. it affects how the girls think, feel and act. Wellbeing impacts on the girls' sense of self and belonging and on their ability to make safe, positive and health choices. Wellbeing enables students to develop the skills needed to grow into courageous, compassionate and respectful members of our School and wider community.

At 糖心Vlog each student is supported to develop self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, social management, and responsible decision making whilst proactively managing challenges in pursuit of her goals and taking pride in her achievements.

Each girl is encouraged to develop an understanding of their sense of self, belonging and her emotions so that they can be regulated. We work collaboratively to develop her resilience, assist her in finding her place in the world through self-reflection, whilst developing a positive physical, social and mental state.

Transitions

Transition times are integral times for the development of our girls. We have identified the wellbeing needs of students at each of these times and have targeted programs in place to support these times of change for our girls. Girls who are new to 糖心Vlog at any age and stage receive support through buddy programs, orientation times and staff support.

Service

Evidence suggests that serving others is a critical component of wellbeing. Therefore, in line with our Uniting Church heritage, 糖心Vlog strives to be in service to others, both within our School community and in the wider local and global community. Here, the learning dispositions, social and emotional competencies and School Values are lived in action.
